Unfold doesn't collect any data about you. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and your decks never leave your iPhone.
What the app stores
Unfold keeps the following on your iPhone so the app can work:
- The decks and cards you create or edit
- Your results for each card ("Got it", "Missed it" or seen) and how many times you've seen it
- A few app settings, such as which starter decks have been added
This information is stored only on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. If you've turned on iCloud Backup, Apple may include it in your device backup, as with any app's data. That backup is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
What we collect
Nothing. Unfold makes no network connections of its own and contains no third-party code for analytics, advertising or crash reporting. We can't see your decks, your results or how you use the app.
If you generate cards with AI, they're written entirely on your iPhone by Apple Intelligence. The topics you type are not sent to us or anyone else.
Purchases
Unfold Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes your payment. The app only receives confirmation from Apple that the purchase was made, so it can unlock Pro. We don't receive your name, email address or payment details.
Crash reports
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. These don't identify you, and you can turn this off at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
Children
Unfold is suitable for all ages. Because it doesn't collect personal information from anyone, it doesn't collect personal information from children.
Deleting your data
You can delete any deck in the app by swiping it to the left. Deleting Unfold from your iPhone removes all of its data from the device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If Unfold ever starts collecting data, this policy will be updated before that happens.
